Please be advised that as of 8:00pm this evening, the province of Alberta announced that it will be up to each municipality to decide if they would allow youth under the age of 18 to participate in organized youth sport without needing to present a vaccine record or a negative PCR test if the facility is participating in the Restrictions Exemption Program.
The City of Leduc will be allowing all youth under the age of 18 who are actively participating in scheduled youth sports at the Leduc Recreation Centre & Alex Arena participate without needing to present a vaccine record or a negative PCR test. Please keep in mind that other municipalities that have teams within the Alberta Elite Hockey League (AEHL) will have their own rules and regulations when it comes to scheduled youth sport COVID protocols so please be very cognizant of those protocols.
Key takeaways and clarification from today’s changes:
1st dose received at least 14 days prior to the date of entry to the Leduc Rec Centre or the Alex Arena
After October 25, two doses* received at least 14 days prior (October 11)
Thank you & Stay Healthy
